Subject: CertManager Update – New Features & Enhancements
Dear TCS Members,
We would like to inform you that yesterday afternoon, HARICA deployed a new release of CertManager in the production environment, introducing the following updates:
- MPIC for Domain Control Validation (DCV): As mentioned in our previous communication, Multi-Perspective Issuance Corroboration (MPIC) is now active for DCV. The implementation of MPIC for CAA checks will be enabled by Friday, March 14.
- Expanded SAN Support for Server Certificates: Certificate requests can now include up to 100 domain names as Subject Alternative Names (SANs).
- Bulk S/MIME Certificates with CSR Support: Enterprise Admins can now submit user-generated Certificate Signing Requests (CSRs) for issuing Email-Only and Sponsored Validated (SV) S/MIME certificates.
- Introduction of IGTF OV Server Certificates: TCS members can now enable the issuance of IGTF-accredited OV Server Certificates that are recognized by international eScience networks, enabling secure access to global research infrastructure.
- So, when they initiate a server certificate request for enterprises (OV), in the Details step they will now see an option to request an IGTF certificate, provided that the specific Enterprise has been enabled by Enterprise Admins and Managers to issue IGTF Certificates.
- For this purpose, a new “Tags” button has been added to the Enterprise Information page (upper right corner).
- This allows Enterprise Admins and Managers to enable the option for users to request IGTF OV Server Certificates for a specific enterprise.
